By downloading or using the app, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app. You’re not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You’re not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn’t try to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trade marks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to Jawfin Developments.

The apps store and process personal data that you have provided to us, in order to provide our services, as described in the Privacy Policy. It’s your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We therefore recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone, which is the process of removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. The app does use third party services that declare their own Terms and Conditions.

Ten Across uses only Google services (Google Play, Firebase and AdMob). The other services listed above are used by some of our other apps.

Ten Across

These terms apply to Ten Across, a two-player maths tile game for Android, in addition to the general terms above. If they conflict, this section applies to Ten Across.

Who can play

Ten Across is for people aged 13 and over. By using it you confirm that you are at least 13 and, if you are under the age of majority where you live, that a parent or guardian is happy for you to play. You need a Google Play Games account to play online.

Your account

You sign in with Google Play Games. Your player name is your Play Games gamer name, and your gamer name and avatar are visible to other players. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Google account secure. You can delete your account at any time in the game under Settings → Delete account, or by following the steps at https://ten-across-jawfin.web.app/delete-account.html. Deleting your account removes your progress, ratings and achievements, and cannot be undone.

How you may play

You agree to play fairly and respectfully. You must not:

Communication between players is limited to preset reactions. There is no free-text chat. Players can block each other from the profile screen.

Ratings, leaderboards and fair play

Matchmaking, ratings, statistics, leaderboards, seasons and the daily puzzle are provided for fun and are calculated by our servers. We may adjust, reset or remove ratings, scores or leaderboard entries, for example to correct errors, end a season, or deal with cheating. To keep rated games fair, we analyse rated moves and the rate of actions such as challenges and invites. Games depend on both players' connections, and we do not guarantee that an opponent is available or that a game will finish.

Suspension and termination

We may warn you, restrict features, remove content or ratings, or suspend or end your account if you break these terms, with or without notice where the breach is serious. You can stop using Ten Across and delete your account at any time.

Ads

The free version of Ten Across shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner, occasional full-screen ads, and optional rewarded videos that you can choose to watch for an extra hint. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads, though we limit ads to content suitable for a general audience. Where the law requires, we ask for your consent before ads are requested; you can change your choice in Settings → Privacy options.

Purchases

Ten Across offers optional in-app purchases, such as board themes and Remove Ads, sold through Google Play. Prices are shown before you buy. Payment is processed by Google, and Google Play's terms and refund policies apply. A purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the item in Ten Across on your Google account. Purchases are not currency, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for money. If we stop providing Ten Across, purchases end with it, subject to your rights under law. Remove Ads removes banner and full-screen ads, and may not remove optional rewarded videos you choose to watch.

Our content and your content

Ten Across, its design, tiles, themes, rules and artwork belong to Jawfin Developments. Your gamer name and avatar come from Google Play Games; by using Ten Across you allow us to display them, your ratings, statistics and achievements, and your games to other players, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

Ten Across requires an internet connection for online play, notifications, leaderboards and the daily puzzle, and is provided "as available". We may change, pause or remove features, modes, themes, seasons or servers, or stop providing Ten Across, at any time.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, Ten Across is provided without any promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and to the extent the law allows, Jawfin Developments is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost progress, ratings or data, and our total liability for Ten Across is limited to the amount you paid us for it (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.

Jawfin Developments accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the app.

At some point, we may wish to update the app. The app is currently available on Android – the requirements for system (and for any additional systems we decide to extend the availability of the app to) may change, and you’ll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Jawfin Developments does not promise that it will always update the app so that it is relevant to you and/or works with the Android version that you have installed on your device. However, you promise to always accept updates to the application when offered to you, We may also wish to stop providing the app, and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice of termination to you. Unless we tell you otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; (b) you must stop using the app, and (if needed) delete it from your device.
